Where the work sits in a normal week
Our workshop in Montague Gardens handles vehicle diagnostics, auto electrical repairs and accessory fitting for private owners and fleet operators. The day can move from fault code checks to battery drain testing, then into starter or alternator repairs, and sometimes out to a roadside or depot call-out in Milnerton, Bellville or Somerset West.
We look for people who work neatly, explain faults plainly, and keep records another technician can follow. The vehicles change, but the habits stay steady: accurate diagnosis, clean wiring repairs and careful testing before a vehicle leaves the bay.
Roles we hire for when the bench is full
Our team includes diagnostic technicians, auto electricians, workshop support and mobile call-out staff. Depending on the seat, the work may include CAN bus fault checks, fuse box repairs, trailer wiring, lighting faults or tracking and accessory fitment.
- Vehicle diagnostics and live data checking
- Starter, alternator and charging system repairs
- Battery drain tracing and earth fault work
- Wiring repairs and loom fault finding
- Mobile call-outs for fleet and private vehicles
The sort of person who fits the bay
We work with people who can handle pressure without rushing the test process. A good fit usually understands battery and charging basics, can read a wiring path, and knows that a loose earth can hide a bigger fault.
- Comfortable with diagnostics tools and workshop testing gear
- Careful with notes, labels and removed parts
- Able to work on modern vehicles and older systems
- Patient with intermittent faults and repeat checks
- Respectful with customers, fleet staff and fellow technicians
Mobile call-outs need a different rhythm
Some jobs stay in the workshop, others move out to Brackenfell, Durbanville or Paarl for fleet support and roadside testing. Mobile work asks for good judgement, packed tools and a steady hand when space is tight or weather is rough.
We pay attention to practical skills like fault tracing, basic repairs under pressure, and clear notes on what was found and what still needs attention. A technician who can make a neat repair on site and then finish the job properly back at base is useful to us.
How to send your CV through our contact form
To apply, send your CV through the enquiry form on our contact page and note the role you want. If you have worked on vehicle diagnostics, auto electrical systems, fleet support or mobile fault finding, include that detail too.
Send a short note with your experience, tools you know, and which areas you can work in across Cape Town and the Western Cape.
What we notice before we add someone to the team
We look at practical skill first, then how a person works with the rest of the team. Clean workmanship matters, but so does the way someone handles a late model sedan, a delivery bakkie or a fleet vehicle with repeat electrical faults.
- Clear understanding of fault tracing
- Ability to repair or replace parts without damaging surrounding wiring
- Willingness to work across workshop and call-out jobs
- Good timekeeping and decent communication on progress
If that sounds close to your background, send your CV through our contact form and add your area of interest. We read each application against the kind of work we actually do in Montague Gardens and on the road.
